Stop 1

Visit Bulguksa which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site for being “a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East.” If you are in the temple, you will see blooming cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in fall.

Stop 2

In the Seokguram Grotto, you can see statues of devas, bodhisattvas and disciples sculpted on the surrounding walls.

After that, you will have Tteokgalbi(grilled short rib patties) for lunch.

Here you can watch the animated movie about this thousand year old Silla Kingdom. Take a look at Silla dynasty. The value of the show is on a par with a national treasure of Gyeongju.

The Daereungwon tomb has the large ancient tombs of kings and nobles of the Silla Kingdom.

Stop 5 Pass by

Near this tomb complex, there is Chemseongdae Observatory which is the oldest surviving astronomical observatory in Asia. The name of this observatory means star-gazing tower.

Around Chemseongdae Observatory, you will see a mix of old historical buildings and newly built hanok at Gyeongju Gyochon Hanok Village. You will figure out how they used to be back in the days. There are lots of handcraft shos and cafes too.

You can find relics of a thousand year from Shilla Kingdom!

From the tomb complex, your guide will take you to the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. This place is known as Anapji. You can see the most beautiful nightscape in Gyeongju. It may even give a sensational feeling of walking at night in the past during the time of Silla Dynasty. You can also hear one story behind this place from your guide.
