The master local guide grew up near Winston Salem, NC, and has had a love of cycling and the ocean since he was a kid. He worked at dive shops in Roatan, Honduras, where he led dive and snorkel tours. After graduating from school, he lived in Hawaii for 5 years. His wife grew up near Onomichi and he calls Mukaishima home now. He loves cycling the Shimanami Kaido and helping people discover this beautiful part of Japan.

Cycling Tour A) Onomichi-Shimanami Beach
Enjoy the world-famous Shimanami Kaido with this cycling tour to Innoshima Amenity Park. Led by a Mukaishima resident, we’ll be cycling through Mukaishima on our way to the scenic views of the Innoshima Bridge before arriving at Innoshima Amenity Park.
We’ll then enjoy some time on the beach and have a chance to relax, swim in the ocean, or enjoy the seaside cafe. Afterward, we’ll cycle back to Onomichi, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Tachibana and south Mukaishima Island.
Lunch, the ferry, and e-bike rentals are included with this tour.

Cycling Tour B) Cycle Around Mukaishima
Explore the hidden side of the Seto Islands with this private cycling tour around Mukaishima. Led by a Mukaishima resident, this tour will guide you around the entire island, where you’ll take in views of the Innoshima Bridge and the coastline of Tachibana. Bring your bathing suit and enjoy this island's less-touristy beaches and oceans. You’ll be on an e-bike, allowing you to coast up the hills easily.
We’ll finish the tour with lunch at a seaside cafe before taking the ferry back to Onomichi.

After a day of cycling, your reward is indulging in a sweet pause at Dulce, a local favorite with gelato crafted from various locally produced ingredients.
Concluding your adventure in Setoda, you'll board a ferry to take you back to Onomichi while enjoying the island views from the boat.
