Amalienburg is a small Rococo palace within the grounds of Schloss Nymphenburg in Munich. It was built as a hunting lodge and summer retreat for Crown Prince Maximilian, the later Elector Maximilian III Joseph, and his wife Maria Anna of Austria.
It is a prime example of the Rococo style and is renowned for its exquisite interior decoration and gardens.
