Overview
The Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, also known as the Bey's Mosque, is the most important Ottoman structure in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of the most significant Ottoman monuments in the Balkans. It is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has been the central religious and cultural monument of Sarajevo for more than 450 years.
It is a symbol of Islamic architecture and a significant cultural and religious landmark in the Balkans.
