Overview

The Joint Security Area (JSA), also known as Panmunjom, is a unique and historic site located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. It is the only portion of the DMZ where North and South Korean forces stand face-to-face.

The JSA is significant as it marks the boundary between North and South Korea and has been the site of several historic meetings and agreements.
