Overview
The Basilica of San Lorenzo is one of the largest churches in Florence, Italy. It is one of the few examples of Renaissance architecture that was designed from the start as a Renaissance church, rather than being converted from an earlier structure.
It was the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family.
