About this experience

A luxury tour conducted by a highly acclaimed, high-quality tour company.  We are not a budget operator but specialise in small group numbers and early departures to avoid crowds.  Allow us to pamper you on your jungle trip.

Time to get off the well-beaten tourist path and experience breathaking rural scenery on the Simba Jungle trip to the stunning Khao Sok National Park, including the epic Cheowlan Lake, and a first-class elephant sanctuary experience.

We're the first to offer guests a 2-day, 1-night trip from Phuket to Cheowlan Lake, in the heart of Khaosok National Park.

You'll see when you cross the Sarasin Bridge off Phuket Island that the roads are quiet, there are few tourists, the scenery is beautiful, the mountains are full of lush, green forest, and the air is fresh. What are you waiting for?!

It's a couple of long days, but the lake and surrounds are worth it! We break the trip up with activities/stops on both the journey to the lake and the return to Phuket.

Detailed itinerary

1

Take a quick break at this lovely Beach where we'll serve some quick snacks and coffee to break up the drive before crossing the Sarasin bridge into the Phang Nga province, leaving Phuket's busy traffic behind.

2

As we travel further into the jungle, the air becomes fresher by the second, and we are surrounded by lush mountain greenery. We visit the region's most highly regarded and most ethical elephant sanctuary. Feed, swim with, wash and learn about these fascinating gentle Giants of Thailand over a 90 minute experience that will leave you in love with these beautiful animals.
Here, we will enjoy a beautiful and authentic Thai lunch before heading off on the road to Khao Sok.

3

On arriving in the area of the Khao Sok National Park, enjoy some stunning scenery from prominent viewpoints and get up close to one of the region's many waterfalls before arriving at the scenic location of our resort for the evening.  On arrival at the resort, either check in relax and enjoy the stunning scenery by the pool, or the more adventurous may join an activity such as tubing or kayaking down the river surrounded by jungle vegetation and wildlife.

4

The highlight of the trip - the unforgettable Cheow Lan Lake. The unique nature of the lake is guaranteed to leave you breathless. Limestone rocks protrude right out from the water, while the water in the lake is both clear and warm. As part of our Cheow Lan Lake tour, we will journey around the lake on a local longtail boat, giving you the opportunity to take pictures and soak up its majestic beauty.

5

The next stage of our Khao Sok National Park Tours leads to a dining experience at ‘Panvaree The Greenery’, a luxurious floating restaurant. Here, tour guests are able to enjoy a delicious Thai lunch in a unique location that can only be described as incredible.

6

After lunch, we’ll enjoy leisure time at the floating resort by Swimming or Kayaking around the lake or simply chilling out. Following an afternoon of relaxing, we’ll then make the journey back to the mainland where you’ll have plenty of time to look over the photos you have taken and to relive your memories of the day with your fellow travelers.
