With around 10 centuries of history, it was build throughout the centuries having been improved several times in numerous reigns. Its silhouette remained the same ever since the XVI century. It is famous for its chimneys with 33 metres of hight, its rich collection of tiles and extraordinary ceilings.

A Wonderful Estate built around the Freemasonry order between 1898 and 1912. It is known because of its Portuguese Neomanuelino style of architecture. It is a place to be amazed due to its magnificent gardens with lakes, tunnels and a waterfall.

In here it is possible to find numerous references to classical writers like Dante and Camões.

Stop 3 Pass by

The oldest monument in all of Sintra, it is located at the top of the hill and has majestic views. In its proximities we can find the oldest church of Sintra that was reconstructed and tells the history of Sintra chronologically. The walls were built using an ancient technique.

Pena Palace

Pena Palace is one of the most beautiful and emblematic palaces in Portugal. It was reborn from a convent of the order of St. Jerónimo and has several architectural styles due to the creativity of its builder D. Fernando II.

Surrounding this palace visitors will find a park with huge gardens and a breathtaking view of the hills of Sintra.
