About this experience
A local guide meets you in Amsterdam to bring you to the nearby city of Zaandam. At Zaandam, you will taste some typical Dutch food while you walk through the city center of Zaandam with your guide. Your guide will show you the highlights of Zaandam such as the modern architectual Inntel hotel and the city hall, but also the Czar Peter House, where Russian tsar Peter the Great lived when he was in Zaandam, along with sights of famous Claude Monet paintings. During the tour, you will taste typical Dutch food like a smoked sausage, "Poffertjes", herring, "Kibbeling" and a "Kroket". With a lot of food in your belly, knowledge about the Zaan area and a some treats from you guide, you will brought back to Amsterdam afterwards.

Enjoy a private guided tour through the city center of Zaandam, just 20 minutes away from Amsterdam. You will try all kinds of typical Dutch food along the way: herring, smoked sausage, "Kibbeling", "Poffertjes", a "kroket" and many more. Along the way, your local guide will tell you about the history of the Zaan area and will point out some interesting landmarks that has to do with Russian tsar Peter the Great, French paint artist Claude Monet, windmills and the industries and World War 2.
After you have tried all the food, your guide has some treats for you before bringing you back to Amsterdam.
