Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Herculaneum was an ancient Roman resort at the time it was destroyed by the eruption of Volcano Vesuvius in 79AD. In a 2-hour-tour, you can explore most of the archaeological park. Led by your private guide, you will mostly visit luxury ancient private homes with intact gardens (House of the Deer). It’s the chance for you to admire the best glass-pasta mosaics ever (House of Neptune and Amphitrite). You will explore the bath-house together with taverns and shops. Also, the guide will take you to the ancient city beach where the skeletons of 200 citizens who died during the eruption are crammed into the ancient yards.

If you have children from 6 to 11 years old, we recommend the additional family option. The Herculaneum for kids tour will make it both an entertaining and learning experience for all the family. You will still visit all the highlights of Herculaneum, but this option includes activities, games, a special map with stickers, and a specifically trained tour guide.

2
Stop 2

The Archaeological Park of Pompeii is 152 acres large. Your expert private guide will introduce you to the history of Mount Vesuvius which buried Pompeii in 79AD. He will show you the highlights of the place: the Forum, the main square of the town, the Temples, the Bath-House, the shops, the spectacular Domus (private homes), and the plaster casts of citizens who perished during the eruption. He will lead you to admire still vibrant frescoes (wall-paintings) and precious floor-mosaics. He will be ready to answer all your questions. Finally, you will learn about the daily life of the ancient citizens of Pompeii.

If you have children between 6 and 11 years of age, we recommend you to select the Family Tour Option. In this case, the tour will be led by a child specialist guide. You will still visit all the highlights of Pompeii, but this option includes activities, games, a special map with stickers, to stimulate your children’s imagination and interests.
