Get a comprehensive tour of the island of Puerto Rico during a single outing from San Juan. Driver/Guide will offer live commentary about the historic 500-year-old city and the importance of the fortifications, including Castillo San Felipe del Morro.
Travelers will have the opportunity to get out, walk around and take pictures. Although, there's no time to visit the fort. Entrance fee to the fort is *Not* included.
Travelers will be introduced to our history and our three ethnic races through Jose Buscaglia's "Altar de la Patria". You'll also learn how we became a US Territory and you'll have to opportunity to take pictures of the Presidential Monuments, Holocaust Memorial and our Memorial Wall.
You'll have the opportunity to taste some of our finest authentic food. Lunch is at your expense. As we drive out you'll be able to see the local beaches such as Pozita de Pinones and Vacia Talega.
Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Afro Caribbean descent of our race by learning about the music, folklore and one of three geomorphological regions.
At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.
Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).
