Before we hit the trail, we’ll make a quick but unforgettable stop at a charming, family-owned artisan coffee shop, run by a traditional Puerto Rican coffee-producing family. This is your chance to experience the island’s coffee culture right at the source.

Enjoy the aroma, atmosphere, and—of course—the coffee! Choose your favorite style: latte, cappuccino, macchiato, or straight-up black (available for purchase). Each cup is a taste of Puerto Rico’s rich coffee heritage.

This cozy stop also features a clean restroom (“baño”), quick snacks or light breakfast, and a relaxed artisan café vibe—the perfect fuel before your adventure begins.

Before we go, make sure to grab a bag of authentic Puerto Rican coffee to take home. Grown with love, priced right, and packed with flavor—it’s the ultimate souvenir for coffee lovers.

This moderate-to-challenging trek is ideal for nature lovers. Please note participants should feel comfortable with this level of hiking and terrain involved. Navigate steep mountain trails, cross sparkling rivers, and immerse yourself in a vibrant subtropical forest alive with color and sound. Along the way, marvel at breathtaking waterfalls, including a dramatic 150-foot cascade framed by rugged cliffs.

Our adventure concludes at a tranquil natural pond, nestled in lush greenery. Here, you can relax and savor freshly cut tropical fruits—a perfect moment of calm, deep in the heart of Puerto Rico’s interior.

If concern by mosquitos, it is recommended you wear and extra layer under your shirt and pants. Example: long sleeve dry fit tee and compression cool dry sports tights pants base layer. Another option would be Hiking Pants or Bug Repellent
Pick up at 7:00 am return at 4:00 to 5:00 pm approximately (subject to the number of participants on the tour, weather, traffic and participants' skill level)
Sleep and eat well so you can be sharp for a Good Hiking/Trekking Day. (Disclaimer: if by any reason we think you’re a not well rested and this could compromise the safety of the tour you might no be allowed to participate in the adventure)

Meeting point

Guests staying in the San Juan–Isla Verde area will be picked up between 6:30 and 6:45 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan. Departure is promptly at 7:00 AM.
