About this experience

Enjoy a half day Sightseeing tour to the windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory and Volendam.
You will visit a unique Dutch park called the Zaanse Schans not far from Amsterdam. Here are the most special windmills of The Netherlands such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil mill.
Thereafter you will see a demonstration how Dutch clogs are made and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs.
The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows with a milking robot. Thereafter it is time to taste more than 30 flavors of very nice Dutch cheese for free!
At last you will visit Volendam where you can lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy some nice Dutch waffles or enjoy the nice Harbor of Volendam.
Duration of the tour will be 5 hours and the pick up and drop off is in Amsterdam.

Stop 1

Discover the great Dutch Windmills and take some nice pictures of it. There are 7 windmills left at the Zaanse Schans and a few are open to visit. You can visit the paint windmill (that is where Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint), a saw mill, a spice mill and many more.
Admission to the windmill park and parking costs are included in this tour.

Stop 2

Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory as well.

See the special paint mill from inside. This is the last working windmill on earth who can produce paint. Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint at this windmill.

See a real Dutch farm with cows and baby cows. You will get an explanation how the Henri Willig farm makes their cheese from the milk of the Jersey cows. They have an automatic milking robot and see how they milk their cows automatically.
After the cows it is time to taste their special Gouda cheese. You can eat as much cheese as you want for free! There are more than 30 different types of cheese so enjoy!
There is a possibility to buy the cheese and if you don't have enough room in your suitcase you can let them ship the cheese to your country.

Stop 5

Explore the nice and most famous Dutch fishing village Volendam. You can have a nice lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy very nice fresh Dutch waffles or Dutch mini pancakes. Stroll over the famous dijk and see the nice harbor of Volendam. There is also a possibility to buy some souvenirs as well.
