Enjoy our 2h Quad Bike Trail at the historic Vrede en Lust Wine Estate, nestled in the foothills of the Simonsberg in South Africa’s most celebrated Franschhoek wine valley. A unique way to explore the area at a gentle pace allowing you to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After exploring the farm and vineyards, this trail heads out into the lower reaches of the mountain for a closer look at the beautiful fynbos and bird life.
No under 5’s will be allowed on Quad Bikes. Any 5 – 15yr olds are required to drive with an Adult – this will be charged at an additional R200.00 per quad.

Please arrive 20 minutes before booking starts for the briefing and to fit your safety helmets. Taken at a leisurely pace, according to the capabilities of the riders, the trail will showcase the breathtaking view of the valley with the Du Toit’s Kloof Mountain range as backdrop. Wine farming activities and grape cultivars can be pointed out and explained by our well trained guides as we decent down the valley through the vineyards. The ride will last for an hour with a few stops to take photographs of the view and surroundings. It can get rather hot in the summer months, the wearing of long shirts and trousers are advised in summer months as well as sunscreen to prevent sunburn. Cold drinks are for sale at the reception or you can visit The Rhebok restaurant next door. A first aid kit is carried on each ride. Guides are professional first aiders. The nearest hospital is 10 minutes away.
