This wine tour departs Stellenbosch for a full day of visiting estates and enjoying wine tastings in the mountain-backed valleys of Cape Wine country around Stellenbosch. Cape Wine Academy-trained guides will customize the day's itinerary to ensure a fun trip for all. The small group tour (no more than 12 guests) visits at least three wine estates where you will learn about the region's wine-making heritage and enjoy tastings a minimum of four to seven wines per estate. All guides are fluent in English and Afrikaans.
The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel or guesthouse in Stellenbosch between 9 and 10am. Once everyone is aboard, guides will work with guests to decide the best itinerary for the day taking into account wine varietal preferences, passenger interests, and previous regional tasting experience. Throughout the day, guides will share information about the South African wine industry and wine in a fun yet informative way.
The tour includes all wine tasting fees, the guide, and collection and drop off from your hotel or guesthouse. Note that a lunch stop will be made, but it is at your expense — guests are no permitted to bring their own lunch. The tour concludes between 5 and 5:30pm at your Stellenbosch hotel or guesthouse.
