Introduction:

Discover one of Bolivia's most unique geographic locations: the point where the Andes change direction, separating the tropical Amazon rainforests from the dry Chaco lowlands as they move eastward.

Information:

The tour departs from Samaipata. You will be picked up from your hotel or the meeting point (the main square). You will then embark on a drive of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to the trailhead. This is where the hike begins.

The trail begins with an easy walk, and soon you reach a rest stop with your first breathtaking mountain views.

The hike then becomes steeper and more demanding, taking approximately 45 minutes (or less for those who enjoy physical activity). However, once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of "El Codo de los Andes."

Here you can take photos and explore the peaks further, and if you're lucky, you might see condors, hummingbirds, and parrots.
