Sawara City in Chiba Prefecture is a town rich in historical atmosphere known as “Little Edo. A walk along the Ono River, where you can feel the atmosphere of the Edo period, is especially recommended. Walking through the beautiful traditional building preservation district, you can enjoy the old-fashioned buildings and scenery. Also, a boating experience on the Tone River is not to be missed. Seasonal festivals and events allow visitors to experience local culture and traditions.

Tokunshuzo is a local Sake brewery which established in 17th century in Sawara
Tasting several types of Japanese Sake made in this brewery is enjoyable here. ( additional fee is needed for some kinds of Sake about 500 JPY )

Katori Jingu is a prestigious shrine in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, with a magnificent vermilion main hall that still retains the architectural style of the Heian Period and is especially beautiful with the autumn leaves in fall and cherry blossoms in spring. Within the shrine grounds, there is a vast forest where visitors can take a stroll in a solemn atmosphere and feel refreshed. The Treasure House, designated as an Important Cultural Property, displays historical artifacts and allows visitors to experience the deep history of Katori Jingu Shrine.
