The must see Miraflores Visiting Center you will see the amazing process of ships being raised (when coming from Pacific) and being lowered (when coming from Atlantic). A 45 minuted 3D documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman will take you back to the beginning of the Canal´s construction to the unique amazing wonder it has become today.

Stop 2

A group of 3 Islands connected artificially in the entrance to the Canal on the Pacific side built originally to defend the entrance and at the same time to serve as a wave breaker. Now it´s a a tourist attraction and very visited place to see the ships awaiting to enter the Canal and to get a magnificent view of the city.

In this area considered a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site you will be delighted by the looks of the restored buildings. We will walk, enjoy and learn in this area that goes back from 1673.
