This full day deep dive into the Jíbaro soul of Puerto Rico, Jayuya, will introduce you to your first true love, café. A four generation family owned and operated farm welcomes you for an "Toast and prepare" experience a coffee lover could only dream of, roasting your own freshly sun-dried, raw, green coffee beans, hand grinding to your preference, and freshly brewing your own cup using a v-60 pour over. Tour a single origin coffee farm where every single cherry is handpicked, sun dried, and even tucked in for bed every night.
Pickup included
Enjoy a scenic drive with breathtaking views, giving you a glimpse of Puerto Rico’s cordillera central, or central “spine.”
(1.5 hours is total drive time from pickup to first stop)
Everyone can stretch their legs, enjoy one of our hidden gems, Cascada Las Delicias, where we’ll take photos/videos for you, and enjoy the refreshing crisp mountain air. If you’d like to take a quick dip underneath a beautiful and clean waterfall, please have bathing suit on prior to pickup!
Upon arrival you will be welcomed with some of the highest quality coffee Puerto Rico has to offer accompanied by a small charcuterie, before we begin our dive into our favorite bean.
After learning about coffee’s origins and its place in Puerto Rican history, the group will partake in a short walk around the property to witness firsthand what it takes to produce world class coffee, seeing where and how the beans are handpicked, sun-dried, and even tucked in at night. Yes! Even our coffee has sweet dreams!
We will finish the tour with a “toast and prepare” experience where you’ll get to toast your very own raw, freshly dried green coffee beans to your liking (light, medium, dark), hand grinding and brewing your own cup of coffee.
To finish our day we will visit a locally owned and operated restaurant decorated to transport you back in time to a classic 90s childhood in the country, visiting abuelita’s house, menu on lined school paper, with a view you’ll talk about every holiday. A truly special experience to display a traditional Puerto Rican childhood/family setting to end the day. (We will redirect to another local gem if this location is closed)
