The Binnenhof is a complex of buildings in the city centre of The Hague, Netherlands, next to the Hofvijver lake. It houses the meeting place of both houses of the States General of the Netherlands, as well as the Ministry of General Affairs and the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. 't Goude Hooft was an inn for people from outside the city, a tavern for visitors to the markets and a meeting place where knights met. In 1660 the tavern was rebuilt by Pieter Post and equipped with the two golden heads on the facade.
