The statue of Juan Ponce de León was erected in the Plaza de San José in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1882. In 2022, the statue was vandalized and torn down by protesters, but was quickly reinstalled.

Stop 3

Paseo de La Princesa (Spanish for Promenade of the Princess) is a pedestrian promenade in San Juan, Puerto Rico located in the city's historic district. The promenade is lined with adorned lamp posts and extends for a quarter of a mile along the southern city walls of Old San Juan. It is named after the former La Princesa Prison which is now a historic building that houses the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. The site hosts street vendors, a restaurant and magnificent views of Old San Juan and its bay.

La Fortaleza Street is an artery of the historic district of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. At the beginning of this street is the so-called "Fortaleza" or "Palacio de Santa Catalina", and ends at Plaza Colón. It is a narrow street in which there are government offices, hotels, perfumeries, handicraft stores, jewelry stores and restaurants. Its continuation to the east is Juan Ponce de Leon Avenue.

Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de San Juan Bautista, or in English, Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico.

Plaza de Armas San Juan is one of the main squares of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. It is located on San José Street in Old San Juan and was originally the city's main square. San Juan City Hall is located to the north of the plaza and the Puerto Rico Department of State is located to the west.

The Old San Juan Casino is located a short distance south of Castillo de San Cristobal on Ave Juan Ponce de Leon and is adjacent to Plaza Colon. This Beaux Arts building was constructed in 1917, and has been recently restored, is no longer much of a casino and is primarily a venue for weddings and other special events.
