Detailed itinerary

We will start our tour with a walk through the archaeological site called panama la vieja. The guide will tell us about the importance of the first city founded on the American Pacific in 1519. We will observe its beautiful nature accompanied by the remains of buildings that were once plazas, convents and churches.

We will visit the different exhibition rooms that show the public very clearly how the city was in its beginnings from before and after the arrival of the Spaniards. And also you can see the main attraction of the museum which is a scale model that shows the visitor a perspective of how the city could be in its best times.

Leaving the ruins of old Panama we will move through the Balboa Avenue known for being one of the main roads of the country. From there we will be able to observe the Vasco Nuñes de Balboa statue that honors his name; since he was the first Spaniard to see the waters of the Pacific Ocean

Stop 4

Upon entering the old town we will pass through the fifth centenary square and then we will go to the Herrera square. Starting our walk through the streets of the colonial city, our guide will explain in detail the various squares, churches, historical monuments and buildings that enhance the cultural beauty and history of the city. During the tour the passenger will be able to enjoy a cup of coffee if he/she likes.

There we begin the sweetest moment of the excursion. Here experts in the production of Panamanian chocolate will explain the whole process from the beginning of the cocoa bean to the final result where we will also be participants and we will have the wonderful opportunity to create our own chocolate bar.

After completing the tour and having our own chocolate bar, we will return to our starting point to finish the tour.
