Detailed itinerary

1

Grutas de Coyame, just 2 kilometers from Coyame, Chihuahua, are located on Carretera Chihuahua-Ojinaga, Km. 135, with an access door located halfway up a mountain.
Located very close to the junction of the Conchos and Bravo rivers, two kilometers before reaching the town of Coyame, these caves and the fossils that can be seen in them, the Coyame Caves are reliable proof that the soil of Chihuahua , was once covered by waters of the sea.

The Grutas de Coyame are cavities in the limestone rock, which over the centuries, due to the effect of time, water seepage and the various elements of the subsoil, have accumulated on their walls capricious formations of stalactites and stalagmites, made up of raw materials. such as dragonite, traventine, calcite and fluorite, resulting in a landscape of incredible beauty.
