The aqueduct of Chihuahua is one of the hydraulic works built during colonial times whose purpose was to provide the city of Chihuahua with running water from one of the nearby rivers.

Aqueduct 01.JPG
The work was begun around the year 1751 by orders of the then viceroy, Antonio María de Bucareli and Ursúa, the Count of Revillagigedo, carrying the waters of the Chuviscar river until then.

3

House where the revolutionary Pancho Villa lived
On Mondays it remains closed and the viewpoints at the 3 Dams are visited instead

4

Beautiful art nouveau mansion. A construction of the early twentieth century that was a wedding gift of businessman Manuel Gameros for his wife, who could never inhabit it due to the start of the Mexican Revolution.

Mondays remain closed, so the viewpoints to the 3 Dams are visited instead.
Surprise yourself with the salamanders that decorate the base of the columns and with the central arch with leaded Tiffany stained glass windows that frame the staircase to go up to the rooms. Go through the nine rooms and get to know the original furniture of the time and the Requena collection.
Enjoy the gardens of this mansion used as a residence of Venustiano Carranza, Francisco Villa headquarters, prison, hospital and, now, Cultural Center owned by the Autonomous University of Chihuahua.
