Detailed itinerary

1

The museum, located in the magnificent Botanical Park, opened its doors back in 1963, and still holds the title of one of the most visited museums in the country. Deservedly so, as the visitors are welcomed to explore a rich and fascinating collection of approximately thirty thousand exhibits. The unique and world-famous collection of inclusions enjoys an exceptional admiration.

2

The impressive Botanical Park (known by many under its former name of ‘Birutė Park’) that surrounds the museum is also worth visiting. The park features not only a magnificent nature but also beautiful sculptures, monuments and other attractions.

3

To take a walk along the famous Basanavičiaus Street, which stretches all the way to the bridge to the sea, is a must when in Palanga. Sea Bridge is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Palanga. The lenght of the Palanga bridge is 470 metres and it was started to built in XVI century.

4

The biggest street of the resort comes alive in the summer, filled with a pleasant hustle and bustle, life, and a mild chaos. Should you wish to have a meal in Palanga, look for a place in Basanavičiaus Street, as it offers a wide range of options: numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars, serving satisfying and delicious food.

5

It is red brick structure dating for over a century back. The aesthetics of Neo-Gothic, grace and grandeur make the church a real attraction for curious people. Not only the exterior of the church is fascinating, the inside of the church, where the marble bas-reliefs adorn the altar, is also worth exploring, and there is even more - the church tower has a viewing platform that overlooks the resort and provides a breathtaking view.

6

After visiting the Amber Museum and the impressive Palanga church, you will have some free time in Palanga to take a walk in the cosy streets of the resort, enjoy a cup of delicious coffee or admire the Baltic Sea. After that, you will come back to Klaipėda, where guide shortly about Klaipeda Old city.
