Right in front of the park is the Escambrón beach resort, which gives you an opportunity to enjoy the sea to continue your route of the entire historic area of old San Juan.
Another option is to skirt the lagoon and enjoy the views in the official park of the Condado lagoon, the Jaime Benítez park until you enter the Condado area and all the amenities, shops, cafes and restaurants of Ashford Avenue.

A statue of Luis Muñoz Rivera stands in front of the stage commemorating his fight for Puerto Rican independence. It also has numerous bike paths, picnic areas, gazebos, open green space and a children playground. There are also several water fountains along with the benches and shade trees for relaxing and taking in the sights.
