After pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai, your tour starts at 8:30am with the drive to Warorot Market (Kad Luang), where you can see and shop for products made by locals who live around the province, such as shirts, dresses, handmade gifts, northern Thai food, and flowers.
Then head to the temple that is the starting point for your private cruise on the Mae Ping River. During this, you'll be taken to a farmhouse on the cruise, enjoying the views next to the river on the way (about 1.5 hours). Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try khoa soi, a regional specialty, and then visit Wat Chedi Laung to see its large pagoda, the top of which is broken, and the Chiang Mai city pillar.
Lastly, visit Wat Sri Suphan, or the Silver Temple, in Chiang Mai; this is one of the only temples with silver for decoration and the only place where the people who live around the temple are silver craftsmen.
