About this experience

We're up and running! Updated August 2024

Paraguay is beautiful, and we believe it's still largely undiscovered. We're passionate about showing it to you and telling you all about it so you can discover it with us, taking you to natural wonders like Salto Cristal, which remains nearly untouched by tourism, with few tourists around, especially if you opt to book on a weekday!

The journey itself is an adventure; you'll descend a wooden staircase amidst the jungle and then walk alongside the creek to reach the waterfall.

During the trip, mineral water is included, but we recommend bringing your own food, or you can purchase snacks at the stop we'll make along the way.

We'll do everything with a huge smile because we love what we do! Our guide speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Guarani, and is also an expert in environmental conservation!

Discover and enjoy Paraguay!

Detailed itinerary

1

On the way there and back to Asunción, we'll make a strategic stop at the famous Frutería de Paraguari. It's a supermarket/restaurant with a wide range of gastronomic offerings, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat, using the restroom, and wrapping up the trip.

We've arrived at the waterfall!

After a beautiful journey through the jungle and along a creek for about 30 minutes, we'll reach Salto Cristal. It's located in the middle of a natural reserve, reflecting what Paraguay truly was, dense with flora and fauna. It's the ecosystem known as the Atlantic Forest.

The waterfall creates a natural lagoon ideal for swimming. The cool waters refresh us from a typical sunny and hot day in the country. You can take advantage of this to swim, take photos, or simply relax by the waterfall. We'll provide life jackets if you wish to approach the deeper side of the waterfall. We also have beach chairs available if you'd like to use them, but we recommend connecting with nature.

We'll be here for about 3 hours, but we're flexible if you'd like to return a bit earlier or later.

What's not included

Coffee and/or Tea
Medical insurance (offered separately)
