House of the Virgin of the Assumption and resting place of several of the most important historical figures of Paraguay. It is an excellent place to have an introduction to the modern history of Paraguay

In this place the heroes of independence planned the revolution that would give Paraguay its independence from the Spanish Crown.
It is one of the few colonial houses that still remain in Asuncion and gives us a view of what Paraguay was like 200 years ago.

The Asunción Cathedral is the most important religious building in the city. Built in the 19th century by the country's first president, it helps us understand the religious spirit of the Paraguayans.
