Weight house - there we would like to tell more about Dutch trading traditions, cheese markets and its influence. Let’s find out who the cheese king is and why cheese-porters are still getting piece of an almond cake as their salaries!
Old hofjes - let’s visit one of the beautiful cozy yards, where we will discuss medieval charity system in the Netherlands and modern social housing;
Volendam City Center - we will get lost in the cozy streets of this fishing town, walk around the promenade overlooking the yachts and taste some local delicacies, such as famous Dutch herring and cheese! Let’s discover some local traditions and mysterious legends, street sculptures and secrets spots, such as art-residency made especially for Dutch and French impressionists!
Family smokehouse - after the tour we would recommend you to stay in Volendam for a little bit longer and have a nice lunch in one of the oldest family smokehouses in the country - best place to taste a delicious eel soup served in the champagne glass! (except Mondays)
