About this experience

We will leave DA Gaeta, admiring the Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea. We will head to the Monte Orlando Regional Park, a place with amazing and enchanting scenery. Unforgettable will be the glimpse of the cliffs, more than 80 meters high overlooking the sea, and the suggestive "Cave of the Turk". At the extreme point of the promontory awaits us the Sanctuary of the Split Mountain. On the opposite side of the beach of Serapo from the promontory of the Sanctuary, a sort of islet-rock is clearly visible, renamed by the locals "the ship". The nickname comes from the fact that the rock as a whole recalls the shape of a boat. Arrived in Sperlonga We will admire the medieval towers dating back to 1500 and the wonderful natural caves of limestone formation: the caves of Bazzano, Caves of Capovento and the most suggestive, the "Blue Grotto". Immerse yourself in its crystal clear waters! We will continue along the ancient Via Flacca (187a.C.) and The Cave of Tiberius before returning to Gaeta.

Stop 1

we will also sail within the waters of Gaeta.

2

While sailing in the Gulf of Gaeta it will be fantastic to admire the Temple of San Francesco, neo-Gothic art, which overlooks in all its majesty the sea...

3

Leaving behind the Gulf of Gaeta, we will follow the coastline accompanied by the rhythmic breath of the sea.The majestic Aragonese Castle stands in all its pride on a rock overlooking the sea and still seems to watch over the entrance to the Port.

4

These attractions are part of the marine nature reserve that is part of the Riviera di Ulisse Regional Park.

5

At the extreme point of the promontory, the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata awaits us.
The characteristic chapel dedicated to the Holy Crucifix was built on a rock wedged between the walls of the fissure and still today it resists suspended over the deep blue sea

6

In the 9th century, at the time of the Duchy of Gaeta, the Saracen ships found refuge among the cracks of this strategic promontory, ready to attack by surprise the ships in transit, in order to plunder them of their cargoes.

7
Stop 7

On the opposite side of the beach of Serapo from the promontory of the Sanctuary, a sort of islet-rock is clearly visible, renamed by the locals "the ship". The nickname comes from the fact that the rock as a whole recalls the shape of a boat. A place that has always fascinated visitors and navigators and much loved by the local population. The place is also a favorite destination for divers, given the wealth of "life" on the seabed at the foot of the "Ship of Serapus".

8

Along the navigation just before this wonderful beach there will be the Devil's Well. Wonderful with its colors, where the stop inside will be a must for a wonderful bath.

9

In this wonderful body of water you can make a half-hour swim stop with the possibility of snorkeling with the equipment we provide on board.

10

sailing to Sperlonga you will see from the sea the Tiberius Cave with the remains of the Villa and you will hear a short historical story, about what it represented for the Roman Empire, and what it still represents for the locals.

11

The experience will take place in this place awarded as "one of the most beautiful villages in Italy" which also had the prestigious recognition of the "Blue Flag" this year.

12

before changing course, we will continue west to make you admire the beautiful Torre Truglia, symbol of Sperlonga, and the historic center behind it... It will be time to take an unforgettable photo.
