Detailed itinerary

1

This wonderful and historical tour will take you via air-conditioned vehicle, through parts of the island’s capital where you will see numerous historical buildings such as monuments, churches, and a war memorial, in which you will learn about their places in history. Then the tour will proceed west on the island’s main road where different historical places and wildlife will be identified.
The tour will then enter the historic village of Old Road where Sir Thomas Warner, along with his family and others, began the first English settlement in the Leeward Islands. As the tour makes its way to the Wingfield estate and rainforest, you will be delighted to witness the fertility rock or Petroglyphs, left behind by the Caribs who resided on the island hundreds of years ago. Also, if there isn’t much cloud cover, you should be able to see the top of the Mount Liamuiga, which is also where our dormant volcano resides.

2

Once the tour arrives at the Wingfield plantation, you will commence the rainforest tour by foot with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Here you will enjoy the warm cool tropical breeze amidst the lush tropical forest, as we travel along the Peter Manning Trail. After the brief tour, refreshments will be served, and you will be able to rest for a few minutes, and take in the ruins of one of the oldest sugar plantations on the island, Wingfield Plantation, and returned back to the pickup point.
