The visit lasts about 3 hours. Within a mile of the park, you can hear the distinct call of the Indri, the largest living lemur, in the morning and late afternoon. Andasibe is ideal for observing these lemurs, as several families are habituated to humans. The Indri, considered sacred in Madagascar, lives in small groups and cannot survive in captivity. In addition to the Indri, 13 other lemur species, including the grey bamboo lemur and black-and-white ruffed lemur, inhabit the forest. After the visit, we’ll drive back to Antananarivo for your flight home.
