Detailed itinerary

1

Visit the Local Markets of Hell-Ville!

The markets of Hell-Ville, Nosy Be offer an authentic immersion in Malagasy culture, among bright colors, exotic scents and animated bargaining. This is the place where the local people get their supplies!

The Indoor Market (Tsena Mora) is a riot of fresh produce, spices and local crafts, while the Outdoor Market (Tsena Ambony) enchants with traditional clothes, fabrics and objects. Bargaining is a must, cash is needed (euro or ariary, the local currency) and respect for local culture is paramount.

The market tour is an unforgettable experience to discover the soul of Nosy Be.

2

Holy Tree by Nosy Be.

The sacred tree of Nosy Be, located in the heart of the island, is a place rich in history and cultural significance. It is an imposing banyan tree whose aerial roots form an intricate structure reminiscent of a cathedral. Its history is linked to local traditions and animist beliefs.

During the visit, you can admire its impressive size and discover the stories and legends related to this sacred place.

The sacred tree of Nosy Be was planted by the queen of the Sakalava tribe in 1836. Even today, the queen of Nosy Be makes a pilgrimage every year to sacrifice a zebu and receive the blessing of the ancestors. Before approaching the tree, you must take off your shoes and, if you have bare legs, you must wear a pareo.

3

The Sacred Waterfall by Nosy Be.

Nestled in the heart of a lush forest, the sacred waterfall of Nosy Be is a place of extraordinary beauty and spirituality. Its crystal clear waters form a natural pool, creating an oasis of peace and coolness in which you can immerse yourself.

But the waterfall is much more than just a natural spectacle: it is a sacred place for the local population, who consider it a symbol of power and protection. During our tour, you will have the opportunity to discover the history and legends related to this magical place, and immerse yourself in its mystical atmosphere.

4

Experience Andilana Beach, the most beautiful in Nosy Be.

After a morning exploring the wonders of Nosy Be, take a break from pure relaxation on the beautiful beach of Andilana. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh fish and local specialties, prepared with genuine ingredients and authentic flavors.

After lunch, indulge in some idyllic relaxation, sunbathing on the fine white sand, or taking a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Let yourself be lulled by the sound of the waves and the sea breeze. Give your body and mind an unforgettable experience of taste and relaxation in the heavenly setting of Andilana!

If you have already been to Andilana and want something different, you can try one of the local restaurants in the town of Hell-Ville. Here you will find traditional dishes such as romazava, stewed vegetables and meat, or ravitoto, with cassava leaves and pork.

Alternatively, relax at the hotel and then leave!

5

Our last stop will be Mont Passot, a magical place where nature reveals itself in all its magnificence.

Mont Passot, located in the northern part of Nosy Be, is the highest point of the island and offers a 360-degree panoramic view that takes your breath away. From here you can admire the nearby islands, such as Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely, and the immensity of the Indian Ocean that stretches to the horizon.

The mountain is surrounded by eight volcanic lakes, considered sacred by the local population, which add a touch of mystery and spirituality to the landscape.

We will finally admire the spectacular sunset. The sun, dyeing the sky a thousand colors, will blend with the immensity of the Indian Ocean, giving you a breathtaking panorama that will remain forever etched in your memory. There is no better end to this experience!
