The Miraflores Locks is the ideal place to live the experience of watching the passage of ships sailing along the road to shorten time and distance between their destinations. Within the facilities you can visit the site museum where you can access detailed information of the canal, its history, its natural areas, the extension and a navigation simulator where you become the captain of a boat. The Visitor Center has a restaurant, meeting room, cafeteria, souvenir shop on the canal and a terrace to have a panoramic view.

Construido en 1913, con rocas excavadas del Corte Culebra durante la construcción del Canal de Panamá, La Calzada de Amador une a la ciudad de Panamá con cuatro islas: Naos, Perico, Culebra y Flamenco.
El sitio formaba parte de un conjunto militar estadounidense llamado “Fuerte Amador”, establecido para proteger la entrada al Canal de Panamá. Actualmente pueden observarse algunos de los vestigios de las instalaciones militares en dichas islas.
