About this experience

+ You will be accompanied (in Portuguese) by Miguel Boim, Researcher of Local History who, until 2018, has already spoken in visits and lectures for more than twelve thousand people, including visits, schools, prisons, and whose outstanding literary work - "Sintra Lendária - Histórias and Legends of Monte da Lua" - is already in its second edition.

+ You will learn about centuries-old stories that only those who deal daily with the study of History know.

+ You will see night landscapes that are unique.

+ This will avoid the crowds of tourists that are present during the day.

+ You will always have the care of those who have spent hundreds of nights in Serra de Sintra.

+ You will take with you memories that will last forever.

Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Here you will see the National Palace of Sintra - seen only from the outside without entrance - and you will know some of its characteristics, especially those that are no longer in sight and which made it one of the great manor houses of Europe in the years 1500 In addition, you will also hear about human beings from the past who, in addition to feeling the cold, the warmth, the love and the hating that we feel these days, have left their name engraved on history for more than 500 years. And throughout the night the words of these will surprise you - to your mind and heart - in the memories of times already lost.

2

Along our climb up the mountain (the total effort will be very similar to spend an entire afternoon strolling in and around Sintra) there will be stop-points in which - besides resting - you will see the night landscape around you and , more than that, will be, through my words, surprised by the accounts that were written in history and that will make you feel the way people in the past felt the most mystical places: apparitions of religious chronicles, visions in dreams consummated in reality , buried treasure beliefs, and blinding rays falling from the sky. All this comes from my research work on the Local History of Sintra, with special focus on the religious chronicles and memoirs of foreign travelers written several centuries ago.

3
Stop 3

Descending from the mountain, we will go to the meeting point, to the Historic Center of Sintra, where you will be able to observe in the mountains ahead of you the path you have taken and where you will record the memory of a night which, speaking of many others from the past, will accompany you throughout your life.
