First Stop: Kaifeng Millennium Park, it stands as the biggest cultural theme park in Kaifeng. It painstakingly replicates the lively scenes of Bianjing, the capital city during the Northern Song Dynasty. Once arrive, the tour guide will accompany you through the magnificent main entrance, instantly immersing you in the Song-Dynasty atmosphere that draws inspiration from the famous painting “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”.
Your exploration begins on the Royal Street, where you’ll find an array of Song-style establishments, including restaurants, teahouses&pawnshops. Subsequently, you’ll proceed to the performance area, where you can watch daily shows. Third Destination: Iron Pagoda of Kaifeng
Contrary to its name, the Iron Pagoda is actually a 55.88 - meter - high, 13 - story octagonal pagoda constructed from glazed bricks. The distinctive brown and purple colors of the bricks, along with their elaborate carvings, create an iron - like appearance when illuminated by the sun. Upon arriving at the pagoda complex, the guide will first introduce the unique structure of the glazed - brick pagoda and explain why it looks like iron despite its material.
