Stop 1

Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your downtown hotel in Zhengzhou and head to Shaolin Temple (about 1.5 hours driving), which locates in Dengfeng County, Henan province. It was originally built in 495 in the Northern Wei Dynasty (368-534), reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. Accompanied by your tour guide, you will first visit Shanmen Hall, Hall of Heavenly Kings and Thousand-Buddha Hall.

Followed by the Pagoda Forest at Shaolin Temple, the most interesting part of the whole complex. It refers to the 228 stone or brick pagodas built from 791 AD during the Tang Dynasty through the Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty.

Then you will take a cable car up to Mt.Song accompanied by your tour guide. It is known as the central mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China, summit is 1,500 meters above sea level.You will enjoy a great view on the mount.

This part is an option for you. Sanhuang Village is the highlight on Mt.Song. But it still takes more than 1 hour walking and hiking from the staring point of cable car arrives. If you are able to fit this, you can keep going all the way to this top Temple. Otherwise, you can walk to the suspension bridge and enjoy the scenery in a distance.Then take a cable car down.
After that, your tour guide will take you to a local restaurant and you can enjoy your lunch there. Your tour conclude with your Zhengzhou hotel drop-off or you can choose to end in Dengfeng City.
