The Old West neighbourhood will amaze you with its great diversity in streets & buildings on such a very small surface. This audio walk will show you the hidden gems and the ‘off the beaten track’ in Amsterdam. You'll be surprised about all that is found in such a short walking distance!

Starting at the Vondelpark, we'll make our way through a vibrant 19th century neighbourhood with a local atmosphere. The tour ends at a former tram depot (De Hallen) which is now a centre for media, culture, fashion, food and local crafts. We’ll go from a church to a mosque, from a busy shopping street to a quiet street with a ‘village’ vibe next to a local market.

The Vondelpark is a public urban park of 47 hectares in Amsterdam. Yearly, the park has around 10 million visitors. In the park is an open-air theatre, a playground and several food service facilities.

The imposing 3 meters high bronze monument of the Dutch poet Vondel from 1867.

The Vondelchurch was built in Gothic revival style and designed by Pierre Cuypers. He's the famous architect responsible for Amsterdam’s Central Station and the Rijksmuseum.

The Hollandsche Manege is the oldest Dutch horse riding school in the Netherlands.

A former pathological anatomy laboratory, LAB111 is now an art house and restaurant.
