Discover a different world: “The underground world of Lund“
Take a close look at the speleothems (formations inside caves and caves) that so enchanted the Danish researcher Peter Lund (Father of Paleontology, Speleology and Archeology), in the 19th century. XIX. He studied and investigated approximately 200 caves in the region of Lagoa Santa, where he resided until his death in 1880. He found approximately 12,000 bones among prehistoric animals, animals of our era and human beings dating back 10,000 years, the vast majority of which are in the Natural History Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark.
In this itinerary we will travel the Sumidouro Trail (1:30 in duration), inside a Park, in a preservation area (snack included), we will see rock paintings (old), the Sumidouro Lagoon, a photo stop at a Lookout. Then, Guided visit to the Lapinha Museum and Cave, pure emotion, getting to know another world. Lunch included in Lagoa Santa and return to BH.

We will visit Casa Fernão Dias, a period house that is our starting point for the trail accompanied by a Park Guide, showing the local flora, viewpoints to enjoy the view and the lagoon. Rock paintings, external speleothems, many places for beautiful photos. We will also taste the trail snack that is included in the experience.
