About this experience

Go back in time, walk on a stretch of the "Old Way" of the Estrada Real, which connects Ouro Preto to Parati, RJ, in the format of the Way of Santiago, in Europe, today a tourist route. To start the day in high style, a hearty breakfast in a beautiful inn in Santo Antônio do Leite, Ouro Preto neighborhood. Then, start of the walk, totaling 9 km, sections with shade, halfway stop at Cachaçaria Gota de Minas, tasting and shopping. Continuing the walk to the Engenheiro Correia neighborhood, the rest of the way to Congonhas will be done by car. Lunch included in Congonhas, after a guided tour of the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, UNESCO 1985 and the Congonhas Museum, marvel at the rich work of Masters Aleijadinho and Manoel da Costa Ataíde. Visit to Hotel Ville Real in Santo Antônio do Leite for a delicious breakfast, included in the tour. Have the tasting experience with our greengrocers, produced on site.

We will go on foot, one of the oldest roads in Brazil. The so-called Caminho Velho da Estrada Real, between Santo Antônio do Leite and Engenheiro Corrêa. Then we will drive to the city of Congonhas.

Visit to the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, where are the largest collection of works prepared by Mestre Antônio Francisco, the "Aleijadinho". Wonderful chapels with sculptures made in wood, representing the steps of the Passion of Christ, following the Prophets made in soapstone that are in the churchyard that we will visit internally, with all their artistic work in the Rococo style.
