We visit the East side of El Yunque Rainforest to enjoy a 25-minute hike to the first waterfall. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water, rope swing or free dive from multiple heights. Further up after a 15-minute hike, there is another watering hole with a natural rock slide and cliff jump into the river. Learn of the history of the rainforest, iguanas, guava trees, bamboos and 100 year-old trees. This is an adventure good for those looking to enjoy nature and an a very authentic Puerto Rican rainforest experience. We end the trip by having lunch at a local small family owned restaurant that serves authentic home-style food (not included in price). Good physical condition required as hike is in pure nature, muddy and fun. Our team of local guides focus on showing the best of the island for an unique local experience.
No pickups. All guests must meet at the front door of Plaza Loiza supermarket in Norte Shopping Center in San Juan. Vans will be parked at the back of the supermarket. Your tour guide will contact you before departure at the number provided during reservation.
Recommendations for the hike: Shoes will get completely wet and muddy. Bring swimwear on. Flip flops/sandals ARE NOT recommended.
