Their is a good option for a photo stop outside the Belem Tower, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Also here you will find view the nearby Monument to the Discoveries (Padrao dos Descobrimentos), built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the 'death' of Prince Henry the Navigator.

We move onto a tour of the Church of S. Jerome Monastery, this is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterpiece of the Manueline style of architecture. You will then see the Coach Museum (Museu dos Coches), housed in the old Horse Riding Arena of the former Royal Palace, now known for being the official residence of the President of Portugal. Here is a home for some of the most important collections of old carriages in the world.

We then follow along the river to the Alfama, this is an old and traditional district.  Here you can wander through its narrow cobblestone streets, and visit a handicraft shop. There you'll have the opportunity to taste an aperitif of the local famous Port wine.

One of the areas that stands out about Lisbon are the squares we journey through all of these in downtown (Baixa) area, the monumental Trade Square (Praca do Comercio ), Rossio Square, the heart of Lisbon, and the symbolic Restauradores Square are all included.

You will then be driven along the Liberdade Avenue, the boulevard of Lisbon, and finish at Pombal Square with the statue of the statesman from the 18th century.  This popular tour starts and ends at the Marques de Pombal Square which is around 10-15 minutes from the cruise port.

Please Note: On Mondays, the S. Jerome Monastery and the Coach Museum are closed, and will be replaced with a visit to the Ajuda National Palace or the museum Medeiros e Almeida.  This tour sells out fast due to it being a popular choice for cruise customers when porting in Lisbon.
