These tours visit the tribes of Ethiopia's rapidly changing Omo Valley. Of the many small groups in this area we regularly visit the Hamer, the Mursi, the Ari, the Karo and Nyangatom. Less frequently we also visit the Karo. Our itineraries are scheduled to include some of the local weekly markets in the region.

Day 01 Addis Ababa - Jinka
Fly to Jinka on Ethiopian Airline then drive to Turmi and visit the Hamer tribe who are well known for the scarring of their bodies, using clay to shape their hairstyles, and the unique practice of "bull-jumping" which every young man must accomplish prior to marriage, ( If their is any, en route visit the Banna tribe. Overnight – Emerald Lodge
Day 02 Turmi - Jinka
Drive to Murele and visit the Karo people, known for their elaborate body-painting. Also visit a
village of Nyangatom People who leave south of the Karo Tribe by the banks of the Omo Valley,
return for lunch to Turmi and continue thr drive to Jinka enroute visit the Banna tribe, and the Ari Tribe. Overnight Jinka – Nasa Hotel/Jinka Resort
Day 03 Jinka - Addis Ababa
Early morning drive to the Mago National Park to visit the Mursi people. The Mursi women are known for the clay plates they insert into their lower lips, return back to jinka And departure to Addis Ababa. Optional fari well dinner at one of the restaurant featuring a live traditional folk dance Overnight – Transfer to the airport for the late afternoon departure.
