Merkato - the biggest open-air market in Africa, is melting point and it best describes the life of Addis Ababa. We believe city tell so many things about the nature of every cities.

Merkato, our guides have long time experience and will take deep into the actual/authentic part of the market: the Spice market, false Banana food preparations, the old metal and plastic recycling area, incense market, Coffee and other cereals zone. It is full of activities and definitely the best way of exploring the city.

Stop 2

As we mentioned in our many tours, the National Museum is a perfect introduction to the general history, culture and nature of Ethiopia.

This is also where the famous human skeleton, Lucy - the most complete human ancestor is displayed.

After the National Museum, we will be walking down to the central part of Addis Ababa - Piassa and see the King Menelik II Statue at the heart of the city marking the "Zero Kilometer"

Stop 3

In between our walking/driving tour, we will stop to one of the oldest Coffee Shop to taste the famous Ethiopia Coffee.

Guests can choose to go here, or experience the typical Ethiopian coffee ceremony at a convenient place.

This is the only standing memory of the 17 years of Socialism in Ethiopia. This is the Ethio-Cuba friendship monument was built to commemorate the Cuban Solders died during the Ethio-Somalian War, and helped Ethiopia to defend its sovereignty

This is the largest open-air area inside Addis Ababa, used for different public gatherings like festivals, concerts, protest and many more. The square is newly renovated to facilitate a great easy walking, sightseeing, sitting for any reason. It is the perfect place to find the trendy Street foods. We will finish the walking tour by enjoying the ' Ethiopian Time Square '
