Viewpoint to the nort side of the island. Near the Porto Formoso. You can see a green landscape surrounded by the blue sea of ​​the Atlantic Ocean. This viewpoint is located at an altitude of 190 meters

Gorreana Tea is Europe's oldest ,and currently only, remaining Tea plantation. Gorreana produces black, green and white tea. You can walk around the factory and the plantations

This viewpoint is located at an altitude of around 570 meters. It offers an immense view over the vast volcanic crater of Vale das Furnas and Lagoa das Furnas.

Lake Lagoa das Furnas is located at an altitude of around 600 meters. On the banks of this lagoon and due to the boiling volcanic waters, the traditional Portuguese Cozidos are made. There are currently 56 holes in activity linked to the confection of traditional stews, a part for the public and another for catering. The cooking time varies between six to seven hours, with temperatures varying between 64ºc and 96ºc.

Tony’s Restaurant is located in the center of the parish of Furnas, next to the Church of Nossa Senhora da Alegria. You can taste tipical food Cozido or other meals.

The Caldeiras, an area of ​​active volcanism, where geysers of boiling water and medicinal muds spring from several mouths and where there are a series of spouts pouring mineral waters of different flavors and temperatures.
