Following the southern coast of the island, stop at Vila Franca do Campo (first Capital of the island). In the parish of Furnas a magnificent setting, provided by fumaroles, will wrap you in a fog of mystery and magical atmosphere.
You can also experience a thermal bath in iron waters at a temperature around 39º C(102ºF) at Terra Nostra Botanical Garden (entrance fee not included).
Returning through de North coast visit a tea plantation from the XIX century and witness all the stages of tea precessing and taste some tea.

On the way stop at Europe’s oldest, and currently only, remaining Tea plantation. Chance to visit Chá Gorreana’s boutique, factory, museum and enjoy a cup of fresh picked tea grown far away from industrial pollution in the lush emerald green hills.
