About this experience

・One day bus tour to watch the overwhelming floating ice on Sea of Okhotsk! Depart from and return to Sapporo. Ticket of the Ice Crusher Cruise "Garinkogo Ⅲ”" is included.

・Enjoy Marukai's seafood bowl and crab soup for lunch! You can taste the fresh seafood from the Sea of Okhotsk. After your meal, you can also enjoy some shopping!

・Sail on the ice crusher “Garinkogo Ⅲ” and break through the ice in extraordinarily large scale. Designed for sightseeing, the ship has a total weight of 366 tons and is equipped with air-conditioning, heating, vending machines etc..

・The Sounkyo Ice Festival is held in an area of 10,000 square meters. The illuminated, fantastical ice sculptures are beautiful and mystical, and this festival allows you to experience the bitter cold of Hokkaido firsthand. This tour is operated on the basis of Japanese tourist industry regulation.
Joining this tour on your last day in Hokkaido is not recommended. As there is a possibility of traffic congestion or other delay during the tour. In this case, no compensation will be made.
There is a possibility that arrival is delayed due to traffic conditions. When meeting with adverse weather or other uncontrollable factors, the tour may be changed or delayed. In this case, if there is cancelation on the departure day, no refund will be made. Please kindly be noted.
There is a possibilty that floating ice may not be seen on the departure day. In this case, please refer to the following remarks: 1) If the drift ice icebreaker is cancelled due to weather, etc. 3,000 yen for adults/2,000 yen for children will be refunded, and we will stop by the Okhotsk Drift Ice Science Center "Giza" as an alternative. 2) If "Garinkogo II" cruise is not operated, and Monbetsu is not reached, adult 5600JPY/ child 3600JPY will be refunded.Additionally. We will only be visiting the Sounkyo Ice Waterfall Festival. *Meals (lunch) cannot be provided. The refund amount includes the cost of meals, so please eat your own lunch.
Staff who can speak English (very simple)and Japanese will accompany the tour. No detailed tour sightseeing guidance will be provided. Please kindly be noted.(About 3,000 people who do not understand Japanese participate every year, but there is no particular problem.)
Large luggage such as suitcases will be stored in the trunk of the bus. You will not be able to take your luggage in or out during the tour, so please prepare everything you need for sightseeing in your hand luggage. When checking in on the day, please let the staff know that you have luggage to check.
Please note that we do not accept bus seat requests.
We returned to Sapporo Station around 10 p.m.
Please note that depending on the weather and docking conditions, you may not be able to see the drift ice even from the boat (no refunds will be given).
