Next to the Stadthuys Building, is a fortress named Porta De Santiago (A Famosa).The fortress was built by Portuguese to consolidate their gains in Malacca after they defeated the armies of the Malacca Sultanate.
After having a photo stop at A Famosa fortress you will move on your walking tour to the St. Paul’s Hill. Upon reaching the top of the hill, you will enjoy the breathtaking view of the city of Malacca and its coastline.
Then, take a visit to Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum. There are photographs, prints, artefacts and drawings detailing the Malaccan Malay Sultanate’s history and cultural heritage.
