Stop 1

Jamek which means the congregation of people to worship at the mosque, hence the name. One of the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur and was designed by AB Hubbock.

Very panoramic full with historical sites with the majestic Sultan Abdul Samad building, the Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka), the textile museum, the KL icon with the tallest Malaysia flag pole. The independence day was declared here on the 31st August 1957.

Pasar Seni or also known as the Central Market was formerly a wet market. It is the centre for Malaysian culture, art and craft. You may shop for local unique handicrafts such as the Batik, Songket, Labu Sayong, Pewter,etc here. You may also explore some local products such as herb and spices, coffee and chocolate here.

This is the oldest Chinese temple built by the founder of Kuala Lumpur, Yap Ah Loy. Here, you may explore the traditional beliefs of the Chinese taoist religion here. Chinese traditional practices are still preserved well here in Malaysia and you will be able to understand the Chinese culture here as well.

Chinatown or better known as the Petaling Street by the locals. You may find various types of items from textile to electronic products here. Authentic and traditional Chinese food maybe found here as well. This is one of the most bustling street in Kuala Lumpur.

Kwai Chai Hong or the Little Demon Street is a very good spot for photography lovers. There are many wall murals for your to explore. These murals are mainly about the traditional lifestyle of the local Chinese.

It might not have occurred to you that a house of worship could be both cultural and attention-grabbing at the same time. The Sri Mahamariamman temple in Kuala Lumpur is one of the most popular temples among worshippers and visitors alike. The Sri Mahamariamman temple was built in year 1873 by K. Thamboosamy Pillai but was only opened to the public in the 1920s. After withstanding time and elements, the original structure was replaced with the current building in 1968. Today, with more than a century of history, the Sri Mahamariamman temple is the oldest as well as the richest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.
